Welcome to Maylands
Maylands is a warm and welcoming home, light and spacious with a homely feel which caters for adults with learning disabilities and dementia and provides specialist end of life and palliative care.
The home cares for 17 residents and provides palliative and end of life care. Each resident has an en-suite room personalised to their choices. Relatives and friends are always greeted with a warm welcome and remain an important part of the individual’s life.
Maylands has a dedicated high ratio staff team who provide care 24 hours of the day. The staff are experienced and trained in working with learning disabilities.
Daily Life & Activities at Maylands
We value each resident and provide them with a healthy and nutritious choice of food and drink. Independence is promoted and residents are encouraged and supported to make decisions for themselves.
We believe that no matter what your needs, you can still enjoy life, have fun and great moments. We’re an active home and for those who are no longer able to access the outer community we bring it to them with daily activities, events and parties.
At Maylands, we like to get out and about as much as possible, with various organised trips tailored to the individual such as shows, theme parks and meals.

Fully trained and highly experienced in working with adults with learning disabilities, we provide the best care possible for each individual resident and are absolutely dedicated to ensuring our residents get the most out of life at every opportunity.
