Newlands is a recognised quality care provider in Kent situated in the lovely village of Westbere, close to the city of Canterbury.

A Message from the Newlands Team
At Newlands, we are dedicated to providing the best possible quality of care 24 hours a day in a wonderful, caring, homely environment. Our devotion to ensuring that all residents in the home have everything they need, not only from a health point of view, but providing them with somebody to listen to them when they need it most – through to taking part and having fun in all kinds of different ways. We really do care! Our whole team is committed to ongoing training & development and providing your loved one with the best quality of care.
I do more things myself now, like dress myself and only sometimes have help to wash.
My new bedroom is beautiful because they decorated it. It’s nice and quiet.
They ask me what I want so I have a choice.
Always lots of staff whenever I am there.
Having lots of people around me and the friends I’ve made here makes me feel safe.
I can call the staff when I need them.
The family is always included in any decisions that are made for my sister’s wellbeing.
The staff help me shaving because it can be dangerous.
They help me when I go out.
They make sure I’m safe by using the car or minibus for my wheelchair when I go out.
I like helping do the bins, get the rubbish out.
They always ask if it’s ok before they support with my personal care
Because I can do more myself - like move around more in my mean machine (wheelchair), they made changes to my room so it’s more accessible and easier to get in and out of myself.
I’ve got better at some things so they changed the way they look after me so I’m more independent.
They help me a lot so if I was worried they’d listen and do something.
I feel safe having lots of people around me and the friends I’ve made here.
My sister has been in Newlands for approximately 20 years and is always well looked after.
Excellent staff.
The family is always included in any decisions that are made for my sisters wellbeing.
The sister practices are equally as good.
We cannot praise Newlands highly enough. The residents are well cared for, are frequently taken out for meals, bowling etc.
We cannot fault Newlands. We are so pleased [our relative] is here, all the staff are helpful and friendly.

They keep me and my family involved in my sister’s wellbeing.
