Christmas is a time of joy, warmth, and togetherness. At White Rose Care, we like to ensure that the festive spirit reaches everyone, especially those who need it most. Let’s explore how we make Christmas a memorable and heartfelt experience for our residents.

  1. Creating a festive atmosphere
We transform our homes into a winter wonderland, putting up decorations, Christmas trees, and other festive ornaments.  We involve our residents in decorating activities as part of the home’s family.

  2. Hosting engaging activities
We love to organize fun activities like Christmas crafts, cookie decorating, or watching Christmas movies. We organise a sing-along session for all to join in Christmas carols to festive tunes! Activities like these help spread cheer but also promote the mental and emotional well-being of our residents.

  3. Gift giving
A small thoughtful gift can make a big difference! We encourage our residents to make gifts to give to other residents and if they want to.  We have lots of fun giving and receiving these small gifts when the big day comes round.

  4. Visits from Santa
We are honoured that each of our homes is on Santa’s visit list before Christmas Day!  Our residents always look forward to Santa’s visit, and even get a little gift.

  5. Facilitate family connections
We can help our  residents connect with their loved ones through video calls or phone calls. And in person visits are always encouraged.  Sharing moments with family where possible is invaluable during the holiday season.

  6. Celebrate with special meals
As most people enjoy a tasty Christmas dinner – we are no different.  Our in-house Chefs always provide a delicious, traditional festive dinner with all the trimmings.

At Christmas, we go the extra mile to ensure that our residents feel valued, loved, and included. By creating joyful experiences and meaningful connections, we can make every holiday season truly special for those in our care.
